A new star of jazz improvisation: Lauren Bush is a Canadian scat singer, very good in jazz improvisation. In Italy she plays with an Italian jazz blues trio or in duo with Luca di Luzio jazz guitar player.
A journey through a songbook written by some of the most important American composers of all time Gershwin, Ellington, Berlin, Van Heusen, interpreted by a rising, singing talent.
The sound this band creates is energetic and “ bluesy” based on the classic “organ- trio” sound of 1960s, guitarists like Grant Green, Kenny Burrell and organists like Jimmy Smith and Jack Mc Duff.
The repertory bases itself on the great standards of Jazz tradition and on exclusively rearranged, modern classics.
Lauren Bush is a Canadian singer living in London and she is currently seducing the London Jazz scene with her talents as a scat singer. She performs in Jazz festivals in Texas, Canada and the USA. Bill Quinn Sunday Morning Sunshine, Metromedia Radio described her talent as follows: “Lauren Bush uses her voice as well as any master musician. It’s a perfection unforced, finely tuned with the rest of her band.”
The rhythm section accompanying Lauren Bush on her Italian tour is made up of musicians performing on the current jazz scene at home in Italy and abroad:
Luca di Luzio is playing guitar then ther’s a hammond organ player and a drummer.
The Lauren Bush Italian Quartet offers a 90 minute performance.

Born and brought up in Canada Lauren moved to London three years ago to pursue her career in singing. Lauren is the daughter of an established trumpet player and a music teacher so it’s no surprise that Lauren grew up with a passion for music. Lauren travelled throughout North America performing with her quartet for two editions of the Corpus Christi Jazz Festival and at the Victoria International Jazz Festival. At Idaho Jazz Festival she shared the stage with Bobby McFerrin and sang at Handy Park in New Orleans.
Since living in London Lauren has performed at the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall and was a finalist at the Riga Jazz Stage in Lithuania.
In 2010 Lauren’s quartet recorded her first demo with new arrangements of standards such as “Softly, as in a morning Sunrise” and “When You’re Smiling”. Three of these songs were played on the air on the air by Metromedia Radio in New York an on radio stations in London.
